Don't attach your health data unless it's needed. Solving a problem almost never requires your backup or your PDF. If I do ask for them, it will be only to reproduce a specific failure, and I delete them as soon as we're done.

Frequently asked questions

Daily use

Do I need internet to use the app?

For everyday use, no: logging, seeing your score, exporting the PDF and backing up all work in airplane mode. There are no accounts and no syncing — everything is stored on your phone.

You need a connection in two specific cases: if you decide to buy or restore the unlock (the store handles that), and when you yourself email or message the PDF or a backup.

How is the 105-point score calculated?

The week runs Monday to Sunday, and each day contributes points based on what you ticked:

  • Food: 5 items × 7 days = 35
  • Hydration: 1 point per day you reach your litre goal = 7
  • Movement: 2 items × 7 days = 14
  • Sleep: 2 items × 7 days = 14
  • Wellbeing: 3 items × 7 days = 21
  • Treatment: 2 items × 7 days = 14

Total: 105 points. Digestive health is symptom tracking and does not add to the score. Days you don't log simply contribute 0.

Can I fill in a day I forgot?

Yes. In the history you pick the week and the day you want and edit it whenever you like. The score recalculates by itself, because it is never stored: it is always derived from your entries.

Without the unlock, the history shows the last four weeks; with it, all of them.

How do I change my water goal or the reminder time?

In Settings. The daily goal ranges from 0.5 to 5 litres, and the daily reminder arrives at the time you choose (8:00 pm is suggested). Remember to tap Save.

I added my medication — how does treatment score?

If you leave the list empty, "Today" shows the two generic items from the worksheet (medication and supplements). If you add your own, you tick them one by one and the day earns its point when you have ticked every one that was due that day, according to the days you configured for each.

Deleting a medication also removes its ticks from days you already logged.

What is the Bristol scale and why do I log it?

It is a clinical reference of 7 types describing stool consistency. Together with bloating, pain, flatulence and gas (0–10), it gives your dietitian a picture of your digestive week. It does not score: it is tracking.

The PDF for your dietitian

How do I export the weekly PDF?

In Weekly summary, tap Export PDF for your dietitian (or the PDF icon at the top right). You'll see a preview, and from there you can share, save or print it with your phone's options.

Without the unlock you get one free week. Looking at the preview does not use it up: the week is only claimed when you share or print the report, and you can always export that same week again.

Does the PDF include my weekly reflection?

Yes: your goal for the week, the habit that came easiest, your biggest obstacle, the small change and your win. If you left one blank, it prints blank, just like the paper worksheet.

I want to export an earlier week

Use the arrows in Weekly summary to reach the week you need and export from there. The PDF always matches the week you are viewing.

If you already used your free week, the app will offer you the one-time unlock, which opens the PDF for every week.

Pricing and the unlock

Is there a cost, a subscription or ads?

There are no ads, and no subscriptions either: nothing is charged monthly and nothing renews on its own.

Logging your day, seeing your weekly score, using reminders and backing up your data is free forever. There is a one-time unlock — paid once, CLP $4,990 in Chile, tax included — that opens the PDF for every week and your full history. Outside Chile, the store shows you the equivalent price in your own currency.

What can I do without paying?
  • Log all seven sections every day, with no time limit.
  • See your weekly score, your bands, and write your reflection.
  • Daily reminders and alerts for your medication.
  • Create and restore backups of all your data.
  • One week's PDF, free. It's the first one you share or print, and it stays enabled forever.
  • The last four weeks of your history.

The unlock adds the PDF for any week, as many times as you want, plus the full history.

I switched phones — do I have to pay again?

No. The unlock is tied to your Apple or Google account, not to the phone. On the new device, go to Settings → Restore my purchase with the same account and it activates without paying again.

Two details: the unlock is not inside the backup file (the backup carries your entries, not your purchase), and a purchase made on Google Play does not work on an iPhone or vice versa, because they are different stores.

The app says "Go online to see the price"

The price comes from the store, not from the app, so that message appears when there is no connection at that moment. Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data and open the unlock screen again.

If you are online and it still doesn't show, check that you are signed in to the App Store or Google Play. The rest of the app works the same offline.

I paid and it didn't unlock

First try Settings → Restore my purchase with the same store account you bought with. Charges sometimes take a few minutes to be confirmed.

If it still doesn't activate, write to soporte@nutriario.cl telling me which store you bought from and the date. Don't send me your card number or the full receipt: I don't need it and I don't want it.

I want a refund

The store takes the payment, so refunds are requested there: on Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, through Google Play Help. I have no technical way to process or reverse a payment.

If you are refunded, the unlock is switched off, but your entries are left untouched: the app keeps working in its free version with your whole history intact on the phone.

Switching phones and backups

How do I move my data to a new phone?

On the old phone:

  1. Settings → Back up my data.
  2. Create backup and share, then email it to yourself (or save it wherever you prefer).

On the new phone:

  1. Download the backup file onto the phone.
  2. Install Nutriario, go to Settings → Back up my data → Choose a backup and restore.

Careful: restoring replaces everything logged on that phone, and it can't be undone. The app shows you the backup's date and how many days it contains before you confirm.

If you had the unlock, enable it separately with Settings → Restore my purchase: it does not come inside the backup.

Is the backup safe? Is it encrypted?

The file is not encrypted and contains your health data. It leaves the app only when you share it, and from then on it is in your care: keep it somewhere only you can access, and avoid leaving it in shared folders.

The app says the backup isn't valid

This usually happens when the file was opened and re-saved by another app, when the download was incomplete, or when it was created by a newer version of Nutriario. Download the original file again without modifying it and, if it still fails, update the app and write to me with the exact message you see.

Alerts and notifications

My reminders don't arrive

Check, in this order:

  1. In Nutriario's Settings, that the reminder is on with a time set, and that you tapped Save.
  2. That the system allows notifications: phone Settings → Notifications → Nutriario.
  3. Android: if the app shows the "Your alerts may arrive late" warning, grant Alarms & reminders. On Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei and similar phones it also helps to remove Nutriario from battery optimisation, since the system can delay or cancel alerts.
  4. No Focus / Do Not Disturb mode active at that time.
My medication alerts arrive late (Android)

Since Android 14, alerting at an exact time requires your explicit permission. Without it, the system batches alerts and may delay them while the phone is idle. Grant the permission from the orange warning in the app's Settings, or in phone Settings → Apps → Nutriario → Alarms & reminders.

Other questions

The tutorial didn't start by itself on my iPhone

It's a known limitation on iOS: the guided tour doesn't always start on its own the first time you open the app. You can launch it whenever you want from Settings → Show the tutorial again. The welcome screen also covers the essentials to get going.

Does Nutriario replace my dietitian?

No. It is a logging tool to arrive at your appointment with better information. It gives no diagnoses, prescribes no treatment and does not interpret your symptoms. Decisions about your health belong to your treating professional.

How do I delete all my information?

On Android: phone Settings → Apps → Nutriario → Storage → Clear data. On iPhone: delete the app. In both cases deletion is final, so create a backup first if you want to keep your history. See also How to delete your data.

I have an idea for the app

Very welcome: write to soporte@nutriario.cl telling me what you need and when in the day you'd use it. The best improvements have come from people who use it daily.
