Privacy Policy

App: Nutriario (iOS and Android) · Effective 25 July 2026 · Version 1.1

In short

Nutriario does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you log — including your health data — is stored only inside your phone, and leaves it only if you decide to share the weekly PDF or a backup file.

The app uses the internet once, and only if you want it to: to buy or restore the one-time unlock, which Apple or Google handle. Nothing you log travels over that connection.

Since we hold no copy of your information, nobody — not even the developer — can see it, analyse it or sell it.

1. Who is responsible

Nutriario is developed and maintained by Jaime Long, an individual, in Chile. It is not a company, and there are no sales or marketing teams behind it.

2. What information exists in the app, and where it is stored

The app runs on what you type. That information is stored in a local database (SQLite) inside the app's private storage, protected by your phone's operating system. It is not transmitted anywhere.

What you logWhat it is forWhere it stays
Your name (optional) Appears in the header of the PDF you hand in at your appointment On your device only
Daily habit ticks (food, movement, sleep, wellbeing, treatment) Calculating your daily and weekly score On your device only
Litres of water and your daily goal Hydration score On your device only
Digestive health: bloating, pain, flatulence and gas (0–10) and the Bristol scale (1–7) Symptom tracking for your dietitian (does not score) On your device only
Your medication and supplements: name, days and time Ticking the day's treatment and scheduling local reminders On your device only
Weekly reflection (goal, easiest habit, obstacle, small change, win) Closing the week and including it in the PDF On your device only
Preferences (daily reminder time, language) Scheduling the local notification and showing the app in your language On your device only
Whether your unlock is active (a yes/no flag) Opening the PDF for every week and the full history On your device, plus the record of your purchase at the store

Sensitive health data. We recognise that some of the above is sensitive health data. That is precisely why the app is designed never to send it to any server: it is processed locally only, under your control.

3. What Nutriario does NOT do

Every logging, scoring, export and backup feature works in airplane mode. The app declares the internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET on Android) for one reason only: to talk to the store when you buy or restore the unlock. See section 6.

4. Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhat forIf you decline
Notifications (iOS and Android 13+) Daily reminder to log your day, and alerts for your medication or supplements The app works the same, just without alerts
Exact alarms and reminders (Android 14+) So a medication alert arrives at the exact time, not when the system wakes up Alerts still arrive, but they may be delayed
Run at device start-up (Android) Rescheduling your alerts after you restart the phone or update the app Not applicable: granted by the system, no action needed from you
File access, only when you pick a file (iOS and Android) Choosing a backup file when you want to restore it You won't be able to restore a backup; everything else works
Internet (Android; not declared on iOS) Solely to look up the unlock price, buy it and restore it through Google Play or the App Store Not applicable: it is an automatic permission. Offline, the app works fully except for buying or restoring

All notifications are generated and scheduled inside your phone. There are no push notifications sent from a server.

5. The only two times your information leaves the app

Always through an explicit action of yours, and always with you choosing the destination:

  1. The weekly PDF. When you tap export, the app builds the report and uses your system's share/print sheet so you can send it to whoever you want (your dietitian, for example) or save it.
  2. The backup file. It holds everything you logged and is meant for moving your data to a new phone. The app creates it and hands it to you through the share sheet; you decide whether to email it to yourself, keep it in the cloud or leave it on the phone.
Important: the moment you share a PDF or a backup, that file is governed by the terms of the service you chose (your email, WhatsApp, Drive, iCloud, etc.) and is no longer under Nutriario's control. The backup file is not encrypted and contains health data: keep it somewhere only you can see.

Buying the unlock is not a third case: nothing you log travels over that connection. It is explained below.

6. The one-time unlock and the store

Nutriario offers a one-time unlock (an in-app purchase, not a subscription) that enables the PDF for every week and the full history. The transaction is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play with the account you already have on your phone.

The result of the purchase is stored on your phone as a simple yes/no flag, in the app's local preferences. It is not included in the backup file: if you switch phones, you recover the unlock with Restore my purchase using the same Apple or Google account, not with the backup.

Apple and Google handle your purchase data under their own privacy policies, as with any other app you download.

7. Third-party components

Nutriario is built with Flutter and open-source libraries that run locally on your device: local storage (Drift/SQLite), PDF generation and printing, local notifications, time zones, file picking and the system share sheet.

None of these components receives, sends or processes your information outside the phone. There are no data processors, no cloud providers and no partners with access to your content.

The only library that uses the network is the in-app purchase one (in_app_purchase), which does nothing but talk to Google Play or the App Store on the terms described in section 6.

The app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play) do handle their own data — the download, your purchase, aggregated install reports and system crash reports — under Apple's and Google's privacy policies. That happens on each store's platform and gives us no information about what you log inside the app.

8. How long your information is kept

For as long as the app stays installed and you don't delete it. There is no expiry, no limit on the number of weeks, and no copy of ours that could be stored anywhere else.

9. How to delete your data

You delete it yourself, without asking us and without waiting for a reply:

Deletion is final and irreversible. If you want to keep your history before deleting or switching phones, create a backup first (Settings → Back up my data).

Clearing the app's data does not take away your unlock: the purchase stays tied to your store account and you get it back with Restore my purchase.

There is no "account deletion request" form because there are no accounts and no data hosted by us: there is nothing we could delete on your behalf.

10. Security

Your information sits in the app's private area (sandbox), isolated from other apps by the operating system, and protected by device encryption when a screen lock is active. We recommend keeping a PIN, pattern or biometrics on your phone, and being careful about where you store the backups you export.

No measure is foolproof: if you lose your phone unlocked, or share a backup with the wrong person, that information is exposed. It is the same care you would take with a paper notebook.

11. Children

Nutriario is not aimed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone, whatever their age. If a minor uses it as part of a nutritional treatment, they should do so with the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

12. Your rights

Chilean law (Act No. 19,628 on the protection of private life, and Act No. 21,719) and regulations such as the European GDPR grant you rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability over your personal data.

In Nutriario those rights are exercised directly in the app, with no intermediary: access is opening the app; rectification is editing the entry; erasure is clearing the data or uninstalling; portability is exporting your backup or your PDF. We cannot hand over, correct or delete information on your behalf, because we hold no copy of it.

If you have questions about this, write to soporte@nutriario.cl.

13. Store declarations

This policy is consistent with what the app's store listings declare:

14. Health notice

Nutriario is a personal habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, it gives no diagnoses, it prescribes no treatment and it does not replace an assessment by your dietitian, your doctor or another health professional. The weekly score is a reference for adherence to your own habits, not a clinical measure.

15. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does with your information, we will update this page and its effective date before publishing the new version. Significant changes will also be noted in the store's release notes.

Version 1.1 (25 July 2026): the one-time unlock was added to the app. The earlier statement that the Android release did not declare the internet permission was corrected: it now does, exclusively to buy and restore that unlock through the store.
